Cups with Biopolymer Components

Our NatureBased Cups consist of at least 50% renewable raw materials. They are based on bioethanol, which is a by-product of the production of edible sugar – without additional land consumption or additional use of resources. This makes them an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional PP cups.

The renowned Fraunhofer Institute has tested the cups and given them a very good recyclability rating (19 out of 20 points). They are therefore fully recyclable and can be disposed of as usual via the yellow bag or recycling collection.

Functionally, they are in no way inferior to conventional PP packaging: Dimensional accuracy, tightness, stability and resistance to products containing grease or oil are on the same level – and even better at low temperatures. This makes them ideal for safe use in the food sector.
